Spray foam insulation

Spray foam insulation: In the Clark residence we used advanced framing & filled the wall cavities with cellulose insulation and then used spray foam on the floors over the garage and crawlspace, and in the attic. We lose a lot of heat energy out the floor & roof, and not as much out of the surface of the walls, so spending more on the spray foam in the lids will pay off quickly. Pictures to come of the exterior - it is fully painted, the decks are looking great too! Until next time, Hope Construction.

Windows flashed, Tyvek & siding almost complete!

The past few weeks have been busy for our crew at Hope Construction. The Tyvek is almost complete and the siding is going up fast. The windows are flashed as well. Window flashing keeps the windows tight and acts as a secondary drainage point if anything should leak. Until next time, Hope Construction.

Bones found while digging!

On Wednesday when we were digging, the project came to a complete halt when it appeared that human remains were found on the site while digging the footings! The job site was briefly a crime scene with over 15 police officers and detectives roaming around for hours, which then turned into an archaeological dig. Initial indications from the teeth (as seen in the picture to the left) were that the bones were 500-1000 years old. However, the state archaeologist for the Museum of Northern Arizona confirmed that they are at least 2000 years old!
Today a baby skeleton was found near the other bones! It was an exciting week and a good history class for all of us at Hope Construction! We did get the clear from the state to keep working and we are diligently pursuing the dig with all eyes open!
